The way I see it...

I catch myself looking at everyday events through the camera eye.  How would I film that man walking his dog down the street?  What if I was filming from a car driving next to him?  What if there was a camera strapped to the dog?  What lighting is required?  How would I edit it all together?  What kind of music would the scene call for?

I love experimenting with and exploring equipment, both old and new. From Super 8mm film to full 1080 HD I enjoy the workflow and technicality of making it all mesh together.  I geek out on things like time lapse shots and changing film frames per second to create a desired effect.

I take great care in composing my shots and telling a story with every frame.  I love taking hours of raw footage and making it into something moving and worthy of multiple viewings.  To see the finished product after being involved in every step along the way is a feeling of true accomplishment.

If I sound like the kind of producer you would like to work with and to get rate quotes please contact me.

The Cream LA

I've been harvested! What does that mean you say? Only that our super rad friends at Bash, Please threw The Cream LA; the 4th installment of their amazing showcase event that features everything here and now in the world of weddings (formerly known as Hitched). Anywho, they chose little ol' me for the videography category, so here is the little vignette I put together from the epic event that happened on March 1st at The Book Bindery in Culver City. The night was amazing and capped off with a insane dance contest DJed by The Flashdance himself! Enjoy, I know I did!

The song is "Uncontrollable Urge" by Devo.

Food Truck Wedding

This shoot started at our friends Juan and Farra's house with bloody marys, sangria, micheladas and some Lefty's thin crust Chicago style pizza. It moved on to the models trying on various outfits and accessories provided by Lo Boheme and getting their makeup done by Ten.Eleven Makeup. Everyone was then brought to the shoot location; a secret field that we had discovered right in the heart of San Diego. The ladies of sitting in a tree did the styling, MIHO Gastrotruck did the catering and the ladies of Joielala Photography captured the whole thing. A special thanks goes out to the San Diego police officer and park ranger for being amazingly cool and letting us finish the shoot without a ticket or citation. Truly an amazing day surrounded by amazing people.

The track is "Something Good Can Work" by Two Door Cinema Club.

The Collection Event Studio

I had a Kate Spade-y type shoot with the gals of Sitting in a Tree and Enjoy Events Co. They gathered to talk all things creative: fabric swatches, bridal magazines, petit desserts, garlands, color palettes, and California-style. Styled and shot at The Collection Event Studio up in Sonoma.

J'Adore Lingerie

I recently shot a little vignette at the LA lingerie shop Faire Frou Frou for Rue Magazine with the ladies of Sitting In A Tree, Lou Mora & Sarah Yates Photography and a handful of beautiful models. The shots all came out great due to the fact that visually everything was stunning. A special thanks to Steve Papin for being a second shooter and helping me out in general for the day.

Italian Honeymoon

I took my Zumi digital camera on our honeymoon across Europe. This is from the second half of our trip in Italy. We went to Positano, Amalfi, Revello and Rome. Wish we were still there...

Spanish Honeymoon

I took my Zumi digital camera on our honeymoon across Europe. This is from the first week of our trip through Spain. We went to Barcelona, Ibiza, Granada and Sevilla. It was all so amazing and I wish we were still there. Our last nights in Spain were spent at a four-star hotel called Hotel las Casas de la Juderia. At the end of the video you can see how far away our room was from the lobby. I wouldn't want to be a busboy there.

Myka & Georges in Carmel Valley (Long Version)

Myka and Georges were married at the Hidden Valley Music Institute in Carmel Valley, CA. The lush green hills and gardens provided the perfect backdrop and family and friends pitched in to make the day truly memorable.
